President Mbeki meets with Zuma and Julius Malema on the 8 Floor of Luthuli House.

Zuma asks Mbeki, “Honourable President, why do you treat my supporters so badly?

“Well,” says Mbeki, “your supporters are STUPID”

Zuma frowns. “But how do I know the people around me are really stupid?”

Mbeki sighs and says. “Oh, that’s easy. You just ask them to do a simple task.”

Like this.

“Julius please go down to the reception on the ground floor and check if Zuma and I are there?”

Malema runs off like a puppy to please his master to the ground floor.

Returns 7 mins later tired and panting. “No my baas you  both are not there

Mbeki smiles. “See what I mean”

Zuma acknowledges” This silly ass should have used the lift”

He’s just not that into you

The movie version of the best seller He’s just not that into you” is being released during February.

The movie stars Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck amongst a host of other recognizable Hollywood actors.

Most people became aware of the book through the Oprah show and since then girlfriends all over the world at one time or another would have heard those words directed at them from their best friends.

The book was written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo who were writers on the series version of Sex and the City and while writing a script for an episode, came up with the idea of the book and mantra for single women in relationships.

Of course when Oprah got wind of the book, a few women were brought into the studio to talk about the uhmmm loser boyfriends and told: “Honey, he’s just not that into you!”

Many men probably heard about it that very night of the Oprah episode.

He doesn’t want to marry me…must mean he’s just not into me.  He works late often…he’s not just not that into me.  He ignores me during a rugby match…you get my drift?

My boyfriend at the time certainly heard all about it.  I asked him a truly ridiculous question (neither of us even remember what I asked) that just us women could come up with (in times of PMS).

The poor man stared at me in total confusion, probably wondering what I was on about this time.

After a long speech I told him: You’re not that into me , right.

Wrong, he said.  I’m into you plenty.

But Oprah said..

It eventually turned out that I was just not that into him.

Julius Malema is an IDIOT!

If you didn’t already know it, this youtube video just proves the stupidity of Julius Malema.

If that is how a politician speaks to a president of another country (even if it was only a hoax call), the heavens better help us all!

Truth be told, I usually ignore anything Julius Malema related in the hope that he is the figment of someone else’s imagination.

The way the media vilifies the man, makes me wonder if they’re not creating another Jacob Zuma.

Don’t they learn? People who lived through seeing black men regularly humiliated in decades gone by, will support JM and JZ just because they are being harshly done by the media.

This idiot deserves no sympathy, nor does his boss.

Zimbabwe – blah, blah, blah

Having lived through the beginning of the end of legislated apartheid, and seeing the amount of protesting it took to get the attention of the then government, it came as a huge suprise to see the acceptance from ordinary Zimbabweans during the recent years of Robert Mugabe’s reign.

The sight of people protesting outside the Union Buildings in Pretoria on last night’s news was a pleasant surprise.

It’s by time that this nation do something to protest their dictator president’s reign, even if it does only take place on South African soil.

I really can’t believe it’s taken them this long. For heaven’s sake – people are hungry and dying in that country and still they seemingly accept the tyrany.

What the heck were people outside that country supposed to do?

For a long time I have chosen to not listen to endless debates from within South Africa about the role our government is supposed to play to get rid of Mugabe. All I heard was Zimbabwe, blah, blah, blah!

We can put pressure on and make our opinion known, but in the end Zimbabweans have to sort themselves out in the same way black people in South Africa had to.

Two Oceans 21Km – Week January 26

Saturday was great for running as part of my training for the Two Oceans 21Km.

I had so much energy at the end of my running/walking session. Until a few hours later.

I felt sick and exhausted.

The entire rest of the weekend was spent either on the couch or in bed – sleeping. My body would not accept any activity – training or otherwise. Sunday turned into a forced rest day.

The start of Monday wasn’t great either. I again woke up exhausted and couldn’t even get in 5 minutes of yoga.

Since Sunday was a rest day, I have to put in a bit of work Monday. I will take it easier this week and go find a multivitamin and perhaps look at my eating habits.
