Two Oceans 21 km Training Update

Last Saturday’s training for the Two Oceans 21km was fantastic. It reminded me why I love running so much.

Since I wasn’t keeping to a schedule, I might have pushed too far and paid for it from Sunday to Tuesday last week.

I could barely move from utter exhaustion, so took the 3 days off to rest and reevaluate my training programme.

Firstly I added fruit and nuts to my diet as well as cooked oats for breakfast – to help with energy levels. I also went to Clicks and got a Multivamin.

By Wednesday I was back in the swing of things, feeling stronger.

I did however cut down my running time to around 40 minutes instead of 60 and will build up more slowly this time.

Hopefully this coming week will go a lot smoother.
