Chris Brown Apologises: Too little too Late?
According to an article in the NYT, Chris Brown has apologised for the assault, although the victim’s name has not been identified.
In a statement released over the weekend he said “I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones, and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person,”
We can only hope that at age 19 Chris Brown has learned that you don’t assault anyone, especially not a woman and certainly never someone you claim to have loved at any point in you life.
We can only hope that over and above the counseling he receives from his pastor and loved ones, he gets psychological counseling from a trained professional. Most importantly, Chris Brown should vow to find other, more constructive ways of getting rid of his aggression, other than hitting a woman he is dating.
Without learning ways to properly channel his anger and frustration, he is bound to repeat this sequence of events over his lifetime.
Rihana’s father stated that she is no longer in a relationship with Brown.
