ANC Must Axe Niehaus
The ANC has created a minefield of problems with their unconditional support for Jacob Zuma and his unethical and probably criminal financial activities.
This has led to them having to entertain Carl Niehaus whose recently discovered fraud was revealed to the public, when he should have been kicked to the curb as soon as his criminal indiscretions came to light.
Zuma and Niehaus’ financial woes are very similar in nature. Both overextended themselves, by living far beyond their means. Zuma depended the Shaik family, particularly Shabir Shaik to give him money in return for political favours.
His crimes are as serious as money laundering, racketeering, corruption and fraud. In his judgement in the trial of Shabir Shaik, Judge Hilary Squires said that Zuma’s relationship with the convicted Shaik was “mutually beneficial symbiosis”.
How can the ANC National Executive Committee expect ordinary party members and others to look up to a corrupt man – morally, financially and sexually - like Jacob Zuma?
A leader should be above reproach, especially in a country like South Africa where crime is a huge problem. How can we condone such huge errors in judgement from our elected leaders
This undeserved support must end immediately. Neither Zuma nor Niehaus are charged with petty crimes and even those should be enough to disqualify them from political office.
The Carl Niehaus affair came at the right time for the ANC to once and for all take a stand. There is no way they are going to get away wtih platitudes in this very obviously case of a greedy man.
Who can justify renting a house that costs R45000 a month and then getting in arrears of R300 000? No one can justify this when children go hungry to school on a daily basis.
