Strong Abs make for Strong Runners
I hate exercising my abs. It’s the most horrible part of my exercise routine, even though I know it has to be done.
It is also one of the most satisfying outcomes one can have when you can see your tummy muscles becoming firmer.
Unfortunately exercise alone will not make our ABS visible, especially if a layer of fat surrounds our stomach area.
I know, since I’ve been working out about 3 times a week and running another 3 days and still my abdominal muscles are hidden.
Admittedly I will do most exercises enthusiastically, except the ABS.
I do try and vary my exercise regime and today came across one in a newsletter from runnersworld.co.za. It is apparently the routine that Running Team USA follows. Just looking at the videos feels like murder!
The article mentions that it makes for better running if one’s abs are strong, so I’m looking at the big picture.
