Barcelona Wins Champions League Trophy!!!
There is justice in this world after all! Even if it’s only of the poetic kind.
And good does triumph over evil once in a while.
Tonight Barcelona defeated Manchester United thoroughly in Rome.
Okay, so it is a bit of an exaggeration to call them evil, but Man United fans have been almost insufferable over the last few weeks.
Surely most neutrals (and Liverpool supporters for sure) were supporting Barcelona tonight.
And Barcelona definitely deserved to win.
They played the best football, except for the first 9 minutes when United had 5 very near attempts to at goal.
After that it was almost all Barca and particularly Samuel Eto’o, Messi and Puyol.
The longer the game went on the worse United’s star players Ronaldo and Rooney played – actually the whole team looked below par, especially compared to an energetic Barcelona side.
The score was 2-0 but in the end Barca could have probably scored one or two more goals.
Another great night of European football!
