Tonight’s episode started with Zhan Hu’s Sherea waking from a lovely nap.
The tribe tried to get introspective about the reasons for their losses.
They concluded that Fei Long was stronger, smarter and better led than them.
Very self aware that lot.
Luckily they were saved from themselves. Not before Jaime and Erik formed an alliance by admitting that Erik is a virgin and Jaime revealed there is an immunity idol on the island.
Back at Fei Long James and Denise bonded over their work ethic.
All the bonding was spoiled when a fisherman with a note arrived telling the tribes to pick two members of the opposing tribe to join their tribe.
Fei Long chose Sherea and Frosti.
Zhan Hu chose James and Aaron.
Back at Fei Long the team still had it in for Jean-Robert which the two new tribe members soon noted.
Things were a lot worse at Zhan Hu when PG and Jaime decided to throw the immunity challenge to be able to vote off first James and then Aaron to even out the numbers at the merge.
As great strategy as this could turn out to be, it was also irritating.
Throwing challenges doesnt exactly always work on Survivor.
But throw that challenge those two annoying girls did. Much to my and James’ annoyance.
Even more grating was their giggling back at their island afterwards.
James just told them to vote him out when given the choice between him and Aaron.
Unfortunately the next person voted off Survivor was Aaron.
So Eskom got it’s way and from Wednesday 1 July we have to pay 31% extra for our electricity.
Who knows what the City of Cape Town intends adding onto that – because they buy the electricity from Eskom and then dishes it out to us lucky buggers who have no other choice but to pay up.
Unless of course we want to sit in the dark and shower with ice cold water!
Eskom doubtlessly caused their own mess – which makes matters even worse!
About two years ago they started with those rolling black outs, because we were told we consumers were consuming to much energy.
Well, we cut down our energy usage – even got blankets to keep our geasers warm!
That of course led to Eskom losing revenue.
The more we spent before, the more they earned.
So what do they do next? They hike the price of electricity up sky high.
To make matters more interesting, they advertise on tv – warning township dwellers to not use illegal electricity.
How on earth will poor people afford electricity when the middle class will struggle?
Eskom are really a disgrace – we will have to see what they come up with next.
Now that we’re going to be paying more, what kind of service can we expect from Eskom?
