Bidorbuy are auctioning off meetings with all calibre celebrities.

Everyone from Fiona Coyne, Pieter Dirk Uys, Amy Kleinhans, Steve Hofmeyr, Bruce Fordyce, Casper de Vries to former Archbishop of Cape Town Desmond Tutu, have offered themselves for charity.

At the moment the two most popular are Hofmeyr and Desmond Tutu.

Can you just imagine the conversations with those two? Totally different, but interesting, I would guess.

That’s if anyone would actually have the guts to ask Hofmeyr about his personal life.

I see the highest bidder for Desmond Tutu is someone called Julius….hmmmmmm makes one wonder!

Check out the auctions for yourself at Bidorbuy Charity Auctions.

My guess is that Steve Hofmeyr will go for R5150.00 .

Arghhh!!!! My 6 day holiday is over!!!

I’m back at work and already had a few heads pop into my office to ask why I’m back so soon…and to catch me up on the skinder news!

They did say I looked well rested – which is how I feel.

We arrived back in Cape Town on Friday night – but was delayed getting into the city centre by an accident on the N1.

At least I have memories as well as pictures to remind of my wonderful holiday in Sedgefield.

I will be planning my next holiday very soon!

Joost van der Westhuizen in Hospital

News24.com are reporting that Joost van der Westhuizen has been hospitalised in Johannesburg.

He apparently had a heart attack.

His publicist confirmed the hospitalisation only.

It should come as no surprise as Joost was put under scrutiny by the media, especially Rapport and heat magazines for a sex tape depicting someone who strongly resembles Joost.

After the sex tape was made public, Joost was taken off the air as a rugby commentator at Supersport.

Still the media would not leave him alone, reporting on his legal bills and financial troubles.

Even his wife Amor Vittone looked to cash in on the publicity by appearing on the cover of Marie Claire’s July issue and giving an interview.

Amor though said she believed her husband was innocent of the claims of an affair and drug use.

All this must have put a huge burden on Joost.

Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery whatever his condition.

Isidingo is Improving

Isidingo has been in the storyline wilderness ever since Cherel de Villiers Haynes disappeared from Horizon Deep.

Actually it was pretty bad even before then.

Now though it seems they are getting their groove back.

They even have a typically detestable soapie bitch in the form of a recast, Kimberley.

She makes Barker Haynes look Ghandi himself.

Okay, I dont understand why Barker let that woman blackmail him into marrying her.

Isnt Barker smart enough to know that fathers have rights?

Harriet has enough money to hire a lawyer to get visitation rights.

Barker lent his camera to Farrow to tape Braam Le Roux. Why not use that same cam to tape Kimberley and her threats?

Isidingo did need a good bitch though. Someone viewers could love to hate.

I hope Barker double crosses her. Never thought the day would come when I would side with Barker Haynes!

Farrow is another character that has grown on me – over a very long time.

Her little dance with Braam le Roux is interesting.

I hope the le Rouxs stay around, especially the children.

Isidingo needs another core family.

Although I like Priya and Frank, Lolly and Frank are also growing on me.

Lolly’s crush is so sweet and realistic. Frank though seems to be falling for her.

Maybe Rajesh and Priya could work too? Its just too obvious and could get boring very fast.

Usually Stella’s antics are funny, but why is she turning nasty?

Maybe Vleis should make a visit again.

Spreading gossip about Nandipha sleeping with Johnny is just nasty.

Meanwhile Johnny and Nandipha are falling in love.

Very sweet.

7de Laan should take a look at writing an interracial from Isidingo.

All in all Isidingo was pretty entertaining last week.

Brilliant Boks Defeats Lions

What a brilliant nailbiting game of rugby!

The Springboks were pretty much behind from the start when Schalk Burger’s impetuousness once again cost his team.

Sticking fingers in opponents eyes is not cool, Schalk!

The Lions scorred a penalty and try while Schalk was contemplating his sins.

JP Pietersen meanwhile scored a try, while Ruan Pienaar missed kicks on goal.

The Lions added two more kicks at goal to which South Africa replied with one of their own just before half time.

Half time score 8-16 to the Lions.

The second half was
even more nerve-wracking and exciting.

The Lions scored first to make the score 8-19.

But then Brian Habana scored a try, followed by another by Jaque Fourie.

A trading of penalties left the score 25-25 with just two minutes to go.

Would you believe it was not the end yet?

Because next thing you know its almost a cliche.

Last minute penalty from the middle line.

With the match and series on the line, young Morne Steyn steps up, with the pressure of a nation on his shoulders.

He makes the kick and the Boks win 28-25.

What a game!
