Rugby: Damn Those All Blacks are Whingers

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

The All Blacks are really sore losers.

At first they were quite complimentary and accepting after losing to the Springboks in Bloemfontein last week.

Now they’re accussing the Boks of spying on them before last week’s game.

They reckon that the only reason they kept losing their lineouts was because someone in the Bok camp knew the calls because they sneeked into an All Black training session.

Maybe someone would take the Kiwis seriously if they hadnt blamed “Suzy” for giving them food poisoning before the 1995 World Cup Final which they of course also lost.

OMW! Michael Schumacher Back in F1!

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

At first I thought/hoped it was a joke when news started coming out that Michael Schumacher will be standing in for Felipe Massa for a while at Ferrari.

Schumacher agreed to return until the currently hospitalised Massa is able to race again.

The next race is in three weeks, giving the most succesful F1 driver of all time to reacquant himself with the car and rigours of racing.

First Lance Armstrong, now Michael Schumacher! Its like soapie characters constantly returning from the dead!

Bheki Cele Named New Police Commissioner

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

President Jacob Zuma today named Bheki Cele as his Chief of Police. He takes over from Glen Agliotti’s friend Jackie Selebi who’s contract comes to a merciful end on Friday.

Rumours were rife that Cele was going to be appointed. It became apparent that the rumours were true when the DA put in their two cents, calling for someone else (probably of their choosing – and probably not Mzwandile Petros, Western Cape Police Commissioner) to be chosen by the President.

Bheki Cele – former MEC for Safety and Security and KwaZulu Natal, has been involved in a few controversial incidents, one accussing Mangasuthu Buthulezi and the IFP of using illegal weapons.

He also called for Jacob Zuma’s trial to be stopped.
