He was only a Facebook friend for a day, though also a real life friend for a few years.

I’ve always heard of Facebook fueds and friending and unfriending people but wasnt sure about the ettiquette of ending a friendship.

Do you tell him his behind is so unfriended or make him think you’re still friends and quietly remove him?

Because I was very angry I chose the first option.

So now I’ve had my very first 3D life/social networking friendship breakup.

It feels pretty bad.

Survivor China: Episode 9

Wow, I feel like I’ve been on the island with the Survivor China tribe – some people are really starting to get on my last nerve.

Up until now, James as been a favourite, but his grating accent and constant nagging is enough to get me to vote against him.  Argggh and don’t get me started on his lack of game playing.

PG’s nagging isn’t far behind in the annoying stakes.  Actually when the two who lost the reward challenge for their team, started bickering afterwards, I wanted to knock their heads together or send them to the naughty corner.

Another person annoying me greatly is Todd – with his superior knowledge of everything Survivor and his smirks.  Oh those smirks.

Those  three  make Courtney look like Miss Congeniality herself!

I can’t understand why James is not using his hidden immunity idols to make deals instead of using his free time to nag about everything and everyone.

In Monday night’s episode I liked Erik, Amanda and Frosti and quite enjoyed their little reward trip – which they lied about afterwards because they didn’t want the reward challenge losers to hold against them the fact that they had fried chicken and mashed potatoes.

Instead they said they had Chinese food.

Knowing the lot of losers, they probably would have gotten upset.

At the immunity challenge the tribe members had to opt to either take part or sit out and eat burgers and chips.  Half of them Courtney (who certainly needs all the meals she can get her scrawny hands on), James, Todd and Denise chose to sit out.

The rest played the memory game.

Of course once the teams decided to vote PG off, she wins immunity.

Looks like the former Fei Longs intended to forget last week’s vote when they purged one of their own and instead went back to their strategy of voting off former Zhan Hu members.

So it was either going to be Frosti or Erik.

Erik’s charm won him another stay on the island.  Next voted out was the youngest ever Survivor player, Frosti.

PS, it’s kind of embarrassing watching Amanda get all gaga about Erik when we the viewer knows that Erik eventually married Jaime.

Found another Jewellery Bargain

While many women apparently love shoes, I’m not one of them.  To me, shoes should be functional, practical and pretty.  Mostly comforable – which is why I wear beats in winter and sandals in summer and of course trainers for working out.

But my real weakness in jewellery!  I’m definitely a jewellery type of woman.

I love natural materials – silver, gold (if it’s not to expensive) and gemstones – precious and semi-precious.  Not so much diamonds – although that’s my birthstone.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays you can usually find me at the Bidorbuy Crazy Auctions looking for gemstone jewellery in sterling silver.

These are my two recent buys. I absolutely love them! Although one needs to be resized as it’s too big. The turquoise colour (malachite) one fits perfectly.

My golden rule is to never pay more than R100 including postage for a ring.

Although this one is my favourite of the two:

So You Think Katie Holmes Can Dance? Video

Katie Holmes did a performance on SYTYCD recently and got a lot of flack for her singing and skills (or lack there of) on the dance floor – however she did it for charity.

So everything after that doesn’t matter.

7de Laan Teasers August 2009

Looks like August is going to be the month Gita gets some of what she deserves – could Tim be seeing that snake of a woman for what she is?

Either way, Tim doubts his decision to leave Linda and their children and starts avoiding Gita. Oh my! Couldn’t be happier what that state of affairs. Will Linda want him back though?

Felicity finds out that Neville isn’t really into her…is she blind as well as paralysed? That man acts more like her father than a friend, much less a boyfriend. She tells him to not stay with her out of guilt. That’s how we know Felicity to be.

Charmaine and Neville shares a dinner date, so it looks like they’re getting back together. Please writers, stop making those two adults act like teenagers with their making/breaking up/pining away saga. Just put them together and leave them like that!

Errol and that silly girl Janine are still on their little merry-go-round. At least Errol isn’t following her bad habits.

Ciska leaves the Laan! Yayyyy! Who can handle that girl’s moods? I wish they had written her story differently, because she fits in on the Laan.

Mandla and Alice’s wedding plans goes on all month with obstacles and their usual breaking up situation. Arghhh boring!

Seems like Gita is going to use Dawid Greeff in her revenge on Emma! NOOOOOOOOOOO! Hopefully it backfires and Gita herself falls for Dawid. We all know how Dawid cannot be faithful to any women – is his character based on Steve Hofmeyr? Just wondering :)
