Rugby fans could not ask for a more beautiful day to watch rugby at Newlands.
The Tri-Nations match against the Australians starts at 5.00pm though – just before sunset.
There’s something about watching rugby at my favourite ground. The atmosphere is almost claustrophobic, especially when the Boks are winning.
Remember the Boks opening game against the Aussies at the 1995 World Cup at Newlands?
That game set the tone for the rest of the tournament.
