In the big scheme of things, being removed as a Facebook Friend isn’t a big deal.
That is unless you are the one being unfriended – with a click of a mouse – from someone’s life!
Not even some random person’s life, but a good friend who I shared shopping sprees and shared break up stories with.
Now admittedly I have removed a Friend or two from Facebook before.
But they were:
1. Random people I hardly know, who updated their statuses 10 times a day.
2. Ex boyfriends…
But never have I removed a genuine real life friend.
It leaves me baffled.
Did I not comment enough on her status updates?
If it counts for anything…I did send her birthday wishes via her wall a few months ago.
I only found out about the snub when I organised my FF into categories.
What a shock that was. Not to mention a blow to my ego.
What could I have done to be given the Facebook boot?
Have I been a bad FF or a bad friend in general?
Did I (again) break a social networking rule?
She did introduce me to my last boyfriend – and that ended badly a month or two ago.
She and I were good friends long before she knew him though.
Did she choose him, instead of me?
Damn, I never had this much drama in my life, not even in high school.

After more than 30 years of being on the run from the American law, movie director Roman Polanski was arrested in Switzerland.
In 1977 he was accussed of having under-aged sex with a 13 year girl he was photographing for French Vogue.
For years we’ve been hearing about Polanski trying to get the charges dropped.
Even the girl who accussed him of drugging and raping her has appealed to the courts to drop the charges.
A judge however wanted Polanski in court before deciding.
Up until now he refused to go to any country where he might be extridicted to the US.
He even missed out on receiving his Academy Award for best director for his movie The Pianist.
Interestingly Polanski’s pregnant wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the Charles Manson Gang in 1969.

This is probably the most useless rant, since the SABC cannot be bothered with their viewers.
Except when it comes time to demand tv licences.
Their latest scheduling masterpiece is to put movies with an age restriction of 18 on tv – at 7.30pm.
This past Friday evening, instead of cricket, they showed a movie called Savage Grace. The movie’s theme was incest and murder!
It depicted a mother in bed with her son and lover. And the son eventually killing her with a knife.
How do you open a dialogue with your children about that movie?
They followed it up at 10pm with Sleepers, a violent movie with sexual child abuse and murder!
While 10pm is a more appropriate time for adult theme’d movies, 7.30pm most certainly isn’t.
In recessionary times families stay at home and watch tv! Doesn’t the programming manager at SABC3 know this?
And it’s not as if there are choices on other free to air channels, unless you want to watch low quality violent films on etv’s “Friday Action Night”.
I guess that’s better than SABC3′s Friday Child Abuse Night!

Looks like Emma has made her choice and opted for that sleazeball Dawid Greeff!

To make matters worse she treated Herman like crap.
Ignoring his calls, refusing to be upfront with him and then lying about having feelings for Dawid.
She didn’t even have the guts to tell Herman that Dawid Greef was who she wanted.
Don’t get me started on that Dawid Greeff.
Firstly the actor who plays him is a terrible actor when he has to show emotion.
I feel more embarrassed for him when he does his love sick puppy look.
He played a devil-may-care playboy very well, but his in love self just doesn’t ring true.
I want to reach for the remote every time he looks for or hangs around Emma.
Right now I’m not liking either Emma or Dawid freaking Greeff.
It’s good that Herman put Emma on the spot in tonight’s episode and told her to make up her mind right that minute.
We can only hope Herman maintains his dignity and let Emma go her own way.
Cause she will get burned.
It’s not as if Dawid Greeff is going to settle down and live happily ever after with anyone.
He’s good for a roll in the hay, but that’s all.
Like the saying goes, “if someone shows you who they are the first time, believe them.”

I tuned into Isidingo the other evening and there was Kimberley, dropping off Jody at Harriet’s home.
Within a few seconds I wanted someone to smack that evil smirk off her nasty face.

At the same time I was happy to see Marisa Bosman back as Kimberley.
It’s by time Isidingo gets a decent villian again and Kimberley is Cherrel 2, but without the sublety and cunning.
Kim is just plain sadistic!
I liked Cherrel and her shenanigans and rooted for her most of the time.
Kimberley – I just love to hate.
She’s just plain mean to Harriet…and to Barker.
Plus she doesn’t give two hoots about Jody, other than using him as leverage against Barker.
Anyway, here’s hoping that Kimberley becomes a multi-faceted soapie bitch who wreaks havoc on The Deep for years to come.
