Joost and Amor to Divorce?

If we are to believe the article in the latest You magazine, then Joost and Amor’s marriage is in trouble.

Apparently sources close to the couple are spilling the beans with some very personal information, which could indicating that they are speaking on behalf of Joost or Amor or both.

For instance, the article mentions Joost arriving home late and the couple fighting. Amor then metions the ‘D’ word – divorce!

Who would know that kind of info, except the people who were in their house at the time.

It’s also mentioned that Amor eventually saw the infamous sex video and declared (what many already knew) that it is indeed Joost.

To make matters worse, Joost has a biography called “The Man in the Mirror” coming out in a few days.

It’s hard to believe these people have children – spilling intimate details of their lives like that for a quick buck.

Whether Joost will admit to being in the sex video remains to be seen though.

A Little Nostalgia for The Littlest Hobo

What did we do before YouTube and the internet in general?

The other day is DJ Fresh played the theme song for the Littlest Hobo as an answer to a quiz.

I loved that show, but especially the theme song.  But I had forgotten about it, until Fresh played again.

YouTube of course had it!

…So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light – that’s hobo style.

Lyrics
There’s a voice that keeps on calling me
Down the road is where I’ll always be

Every stop I make, I’ll make a new friend
Can’t stay for long, just turn around and I’m gone again.

Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.

Down this road, that never seems to end,
Where new adventure, lies just around the bend.

So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light – that’s hobo style.

Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, the whole world is my home.

So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light
That’s hobo style.

Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.

Instrumental Bridge

Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.

There’s a world, that’s waiting to unfold,
A brand new tale, no one has ever told,

We’ve journey’d far but, you know it won’t be long,
We’re almost there and we’ve paid our fare, with the hobo song.

Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.

So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light – that’s hobo style.

Maybe tomorrow, I’ll find what I call home
Until tomorrow, you know I’m free to roam.

SA’s Got Talent: Episode 4

Last night I forgot that SA’s Got Talent was on. I only remembered half way through the show.

But I cant’ think anyone who came on before was better than the little ventriloqist boy. He was funny and his act was so cute.

I think I want a dinosaur like his one! Too sweet.

The other sort of sweet moment of that I managed to see was the one with the teenaged girls doing Doo Bee Doo by Freshly Ground.

What we saw of them – they were simply aweful.

But when Ian harshly criticised two of the three girls, and praised one of them – one of the girls started crying.

Who would come to the rescue – Randall! South Africa’s Mr Mean, himself.

He told them that all three were good singers and that they sang even better than Freshly Ground – very far from the truth! (Not that I like that song at all.) Randall

You could actually see the girl who was crying perk up.

In between there was the 12 year old rhythmic gymnastics girl who was excellent.

The street busker who also did some acrobatics – but wasn’t good enough to continue.

It’s hard to see people who try so hard not make it – but that’s the name of the game.

The final act were the unusual dancers who brought the house down with their act. They were really good and different.

I better put a reminder on so I don’t forget next week’s episode!

I Cried at Work Today

Let me preface this story by saying that if they voted for “least likely to show emotion at work”, I would win hands down.

And in all my working life I’ve only cried once. Actually cried for about 4 hours when my brother immigrated to Australia.

At other times I’ve been able to compose myself enough wait for privacy to shed a tear or two.

Today though my colleague and I were discussing permaculture and gardening.

She lives on a smallholding and farms chickens for personal use.

I asked her how her chickens were doing and she said one of the hens lays eggs but is broody and wants to sit on the egg.

Now I asked her before if chickens get attached to the eggs they lay and she said no.

Next thing I know, my eyes fill up with tears.

I think the fact that the chicken’s eggs gets taken from her was upsetting.

Either that or its PMS!

I had to excuse myself to get my composure back.

And I’m not even vegetarian.

Someone won’t be buying eggs for a while.

If I was a Rich Girl…

Today, like every other day of the week, I received notification of my lottery winnings.

Not any lottery – but the UK one.  And the amount is not a small one either.

There are a large number of zeros involved.

The only problem is the fact that I have never played the UK lottery – actually I seldom play our local one that costs R3.50.

But that’s besides the point.

My colleagues and I now and then discuss what we would do if we had to win the lotto – especially on a Monday morning.

Or gorgeous days like today when the sun’s shining and nobody feels like being indoors at the office.

My colleagues always have elaborate business ideas.

Not me.

I don’t want my own business, or anything that I have to be responsible for anything or anyone.

All I want to do is have look at my financial statements, go to gym and travel.

Hmmmm maybe I should rather enter the Top Travel competition and try to win a Rmillion worth of travel vouchers!

That is if my lottery winnings don’t pitch up in my bank account soon ;-)
