This week’s You Magazine claims that Minki’s obsession with SA captain Graeme Smith and with money played a role in her divorce.
Minki apparently still held a torch for the SA captain and was in contact with him 7 months ago.
When they were dating, Graeme wanted to end the relationship many times, but Minki wouldn’t budge.
(Hard to believe that one.)
She was said to be upset when pictures of Graeme and new girlfriend, special needs teacher Bridgette Sarembock, appeared in the press recently.
Husband Constant Visser told You that Minki’s obsession with money “made it difficult” for him.
One always feel bad when someone’s private life make headline news, but when Minki actually sends SMSs to You to update them on her life, you have to wonder…

Not again!
You would think the weather gods, cricketing gods or Duckworth Lewis would for once be on our side.
The other team would be left 1 run short due to rain.
But nooooo. The gods would rather conspire against us.
Could South Africa’s T20 loss against England have been prevented?
Do our team leadership and players understand the Duckworth Lewis system?
Whatever the reason, another cricket match against South Africa won by Duckworth Lewis.
Damn!

Although spoilers prepaired us for Altus/San-Marie, I was still disappointed to see the pair flirting at the end of tonight’s episode of 7de Laan.
Of course it’s unfair to expect an attractive, successful young man like Altus to remain single forever.
Or until Paula eventually finds herself.
I can see why the pretty red-head would hold appeal to a man who’s been all work since Paula’s departure months ago.
But did he have to fall for that particular self-proclaimed gold-digger San-Mari…
Arggghhh
She dumped nice guy Diederick for wanting to be a waiter.
Then she tried to get him to apply for a job at Bruynwaves, when he clearly didn’t want to.
(Oh and this girl isn’t exactly improving her own career prospects.)
Finally she dated his cousin Marko. Lead him by the nose and then broke his heart.
Not that any one besides Paula can be good enough for Altie.
As Ms Gold-digger will soon find out.

Believe it or not, I just saw a promo on SABC3 for the first T20 match SA against England.
SABC3 will be broadcasting the match of Friday 13, starting at 7.30pm. Probably a delayed broadcast.
Sunday 15th’s T20 match starts at 2.00pm.
I can’t believe the lack of advertising from Sabc3!
I can’t wait for the cricket though!

So I decided to skip the first few minutes of the final result show.
Because we all know how they like to drag things out on a normal night, never mind the final.
The top three were announced in as slow a manner as you could imagine.
First George, then Darren and lastly Cleo’s name was called.
I nearly had heart failure at the thought of an upset.
Either George or Darren…please!
After an ad break Cleo was named in third place. Mercifully for the sake of my ears.
It came down to George and Darren – as many people predicted.
The judges said more of the same…blah, blah, blah…proud to be South African.
Eventually, after an eternity the winner was announced.
Darren!
I had a Shado moment …sniff, sniff.
Happy with the final result in the end.
