According to the Sowetan, Paul Mashaba is leaving Generations in December. This follows Karabo’s departure in October.
The actor Siyabonga Twala is said to be moving to KZN to pursue business interests. However, the article also says he is unhappy with the direction of his storyline.
So the sexiest actor in SA soapies is on his way out. Generations will definitely be a lot poorer with the loss of Connie Ferguson and Siyabonga leaving at around the same time.
At least that nasty piece of work known as Dineo, will not end up with Paul. Even though the Generations writers are doing their best to rewrite her character to be a new Karabo.
But Karabo she ain’t!
It was unnecessary the way the writers ended the Karabo/Paul relationship. It seemed rushed and implausible.
Any Generations viewer would ask how Karabo could go to the UK with Angela, only to end up in India having an affair with a man with far less presence and stature than Paul Mashaba.
Anyway, it’s Generations loss and the viewers loss. Hopefully it’s on to bigger and better things for Connie and Siyabonga.

I all but gave up on Isidingo when it became first the Barker, then Farrow and most recently Lesedi show. And stopped watching completely.
Not even channel hopping to SABC 3 during 7de Laan.
A few weeks ago I managed to hop on over to Isidingo during a Vanessa moment on 7 de Laan and almost forgot to switch back to SABC 2!
So engrossing was Isidingo.
Having Cherel back is already making things interesting and thank goodness she’s not hovering around Barker Haynes, but rather the new family.
You can already see how she’s going to snag herself another rich man.
Kimberley has also gotten a lot more interesting than she was when I last saw her. The new Kimberley started of brilliantly and then faded into the same boring character as everyone else had become.
But then they paired her with Len and she became softer and even sweet. I almost felt sorry for her when she decided to marry Barker. I could understand how torn she was between love for Len and the security that Barker could give her and her son.
Then there’s the Matabanes who had long ago lost the plot. Having Agnes file for divorce was a good thing. But my favourite was when Agnes chased that girl Lerato (I think) out of her house on Friday – threatening to use the sjambok!
LOL – I used to love when she threatened Zeb’s former mistress.
Even the Rajesh/Priya/Frank story looks like it is going to be soooooo good! I can hardly wait to see what’s going to happen with the baby’s adoption.
Will Priya and Frank get back together???
All in all, Isidingo seems to be hitting the right notes again. Lets hope they can get their viewers back!

I’ve been giving 7de Laan a break because of that damn Vanessa being on every single day!
The stupid woman has been constantly having fights with her husband Xander. When he decided to leave, it came as no surprise as the two hardly had a moment of peace since they married.
I don’t want to see soapie characters constantly fighting. And if Vanessa isn’t fighting with her husband, she fights with her mother Charmaine!
Anyway, so recently ex-boyfriend (and father of her never mentioned deceased child) Sheldon, enters the fray. Conveniently just after Xander moved out!
He gets involved with a drug ring, involves Vanessa and she gets arrested for drug smuggling/dealing/whatever. Who cares!
I was just wishing they keep her in prison.
But oh-no, when I popped in for the last 5 minutes of 7de Laan last night, the woman had been released on bail!!!!!
WTF!!!
I was hoping for at least a month of Vanessa-less 7de laan!
Now she’ll be moping around for ever and a day.
Just shoot me now!
